what Sybil dosent know is that basil has arranged for a complete firm of
'cowboys ' to do the work.
3.THE WEDDING PARTY

Basil gets the wrong end of
the stick numerous times in this episode when a party of wedding guests
come to stay.
4.THE HOTEL INSPECTORS

There are some Hotel Inspectors
in town,and when Basil mistakenly thinks he has one in the Hotel,he starts
to grovel,but only until he realises its not an Inspector.
5.GOURMET NIGHT

Some very important local people
are invited to a gourmet evening at Fawlty Towers,but when the chef gets
drunk and cant cook the meal,they have to sort it out another way.
6.THE GERMANS

This has to be the most famous
episode of all.Sybil is in hospital with an ingrowing toenail,and Basil
is left in charge,with disastrous results.When some German guests come
to stay,Basil has a very difficult time trying not to mention the War.
SEASON TWO
1.COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS

A hard-of-hearing woman causes
problems for all the staff at Fawlty Towers when she insists that she has
had some money stolen from her room,and Basil wins some money on a horse
race and has a tough time hiding it from Sybil who thinks he has stopped
betting.
2.THE ANNIVERSARY

Basil pretends to forget their
wedding anniversary,and Sybil storms out just before guests arrive for
a surprise party arranged for her by Basil.He tells them all that Sybil
is ill in bed,and polly pretends to be Sybil.
3.WALDORF SALAD
05 03 79
A late - arriving American
guest and his wife want dinner(which has finished),and so he bribes Basil
into cooking him a meal which turns into disaster.
4.THE KIPPER AND THE CORPSE
12 03 79
One of the guests dies in bed,and
Basil is convinced that he will go to jail for lwetting the guest eat some
kippers which were out of date.
5.THE PSYCHIATRIST
26 03 79
Basil has to watch everything
he says to two psychiatrist staying at the hotel,because he thinks that
they will analyse everything he says.He also gets caught in a compromising
situation with a young Australian girl.
6.BASIL THE RAT

A hotel inspector threatens
to close down the hotel after finding lots of things wrong,and gives them
24 hours to put the faults right,but then Manuel's pet rat gets loose .
