2008 Reunion

The 7th Cox Family Reunion will be held on 11th October at St Mary Bourne, Hampshire. Three years ago we held the reunion at our own local village hall and it proved to be an excellent location, so we have booked it again for this year's family gathering.

mapSt Mary Bourne is just to the west of the A34, south of Newbury. It is easy to reach from the M4, M3 and A303. We have a splendid village centre, quite new and capable of seating up to 120 for lunch. The village playing fields are just across the car park so there is plenty of room to spread out there if the weather is good. The format will be much the same, an informal lunch, ample opportunity to chat and catch up with the rest of the family, and tea before departure.

The family tree will be displayed - last time it stretched almost halfway round the hall. I still have large sections without photos, so if you have recent photos of your families, please send them to me in time to include them.

Please let me know if you plan to come or not, as soon as you know. I do not have to confirm numbers with the caterer until much nearer the time, but it helps the planning if we have a rough idea of the turn-out. The cost has not yet been settled, but is likely to be around £22.50 for adults and £8 for children, not including drinks.

Here is where I plan to put family trees, photos etc. Watch this space...................

Most ot these documents will be in Adobe Acrobat pdf form. If you can't open them you can download the free reader here.

Just for a start, here's an illustrated tree for Arthur Ditmas Cox - the most complete one of 5generations I have, I think. Arthur's son, Henry's wife Judy is still going, only 102 years old this year. Henry was a great-great grandson of John Lewis Cox. Click here for his ancestry.
