Songs of the Golden Age

An evening of the most wonderful choral music, both sacred and secular, from the start to the end of the 17^th Century and finally linking to Johann Sebastian Bach. The programme of sacred and secular music will include the fabulous “Miserere” of Gregorio Allegri, Monteverdi's wonderful “Lamento d'Arianna” (Lasciatemi morire), and the grandeur of sacred motets by Gabrieli.
