Hello there compadres!

I know it's been a while since you've received a newsletter. It's been a very heavy year with a lot of changes which has caused a bit of organisational difficulties but which have now been sorted.

It's been another heavy year for gigs and I won't bore you with all the details… it would take too long, but I will try to include the highlights and new developments to bring you up to date.

The year started off quite well with lovely gigs in places such as The White Horse, Clun, the Boar's Head Taphouse, Kidderminster, The Lamb Inn, Malvern & The Leopard, Doncaster plus an interview with BBC Radio Nottingham. I had my first gig at The Jolly Brewmaster, Cheltenham , which is run by my good friend Rob Talbot-Cooper. It's a lovely Sunday afternoon gig and the Sunday roast dinner is highly recommended! It was a joy returning to play the Newhampton in Wolverhampton although my accommodation was some 25 miles away. I played the Banbury Blues Festival in March, which was also a hoot. The gig at Three Fat Fish in Exeter was a lot of fun and it was part of the Exeter Festival. Thanks all of you who turned out!!!

April, May & June were hectic and it would take too long to get thru all the concerts. Suffice it to say that I covered a LOT of miles and a lot of good times.

The Upton Blues Festival was a great start to summer gigs and like last year, The Anchor is always a super place to play and I love the atmosphere there.

Late July and early August saw me touring through Scotland again. It's a part of my year I always look forward to and my thanks go out especially to an Tobar, Isle of Mull for a spectacular evening!! Afterwards, it was back to the Edinburgh Fringe, which was a bit disappointing this year. There was a change of management at the venue which de-stabilized things somewhat.

September passed well and early this month I toured again (& recorded) with Fraser Speirs; harmonica player extraordinaire. Now THAT was great FUN!!!

I've just played at Otterton Mill, Budleigh Salterton which was FANTASTIC!! Such a wonderful centre. I would recommend everyone who visits Devon to visit the place!!!

Hello there,

We're sorry that this section's remained dormant for quite a while, but it has been rather hectic and finding time to jot down our adventures has been difficult to say the least.

To condense things a bit… First of all thanks to everyone who came to see us at the Edinburgh Fringe last August. It was a blast! We will be there this year as well! A big thanks goes out to Kieran Murray who stepped in as a very last minute replacement for Roger Inniss to play with myself and Jim Mullen. He saved the day and will forever be appreciated for it!!

Our tour in France (October) was wonderful! We got to visit a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a long time and drive down through some absolutely magnificent countryside.

We'll be featuring a deeper reflective newsletter (with photos) in .pdf form later when we've finished the copywork.

We also have a new deal for members of the Fan Club who wish to buy merchandise (albums, T-shirts, etc.) at very preferential rates. You can obtain this information by emailing us with the subject: Fan Club Memebership at privatedition@hotmail.com

The New Zealand tour was FANTASTIC!! It's truly the most beautiful place I've ever been to, and the Kiwis are just the world's most hospitable people! My thanks to Jim & Brenda Rowe and their wonderful lads, Midge Marsden & Tura 'Bullfrog' Rata for being great travelling companions, David 'Jonesy' Jones, Donna and their family (Jonesy is the best Road Manager you could hope to have!!), Ana Hensley for saving my bacon and clearing the path, Ian Williamson for 'being there' for me, The incredible hospitality and friendship of Russell & Liz Shaw (and Fonzie), Wayne & Liz Goodman (Jazz, Zero, Kate, Debs, Al, Anne, Neil, Ric, Anna, Smiley, Paul, Jude, Jason [STAY IN SCHOOL DUDE!!] & Gizmo!), Mace & Pauline Mason, Sam Neill, Michael Busby and last but certainly NOT least…Simon Owens at the Monument in Newbury who made the whole thing possible!

I'm off to Ireland at the end of March. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone as I only seem to get over there once a year. Details will be in the gig guide!

Whoah there… Lots of Festivals coming up this year- I may be playing at the Swanage Blues Festival in March… still to be confirmed. I will DEFINITELY be playing at the Jedburgh Blues Festival (Scotland) on May 3rd, The Kent Guitar Festival (in trio with my good mates Jim Mullen & Henry Thomas) on the 19th & 20th of May… then to play once again for my buddy Martin Taylor's Kirkmichael Guitar Festival in Ayrshire on May 25th! We'll be in France for two festivals in July AND the Edinburgh Fringe in August!
I look forward to both hearing from you and seeing you all in the near future!!

Adrian
