Directions to Blaxhall Youth Hostel:

Most of you will arrive at the ‘Copdock’ roundabout (A12/A14 interchange) near Ipswich -via A12(N) or A14(E). Blaxhall is about 30 minutes from here.

Follow the A14 over the Orwell bridge towards Felixstowe. Leave the A14 and follow the A12(N) towards Lowestoft, go past BT-Martelsham and at the northern end of the Woodbridge by-pass turn right at a roundabout onto the A1152.

Go over the level crossing, fork left at the first roundabout and turn left after the pub, following A1152. Go straight on at the Bentwaters roundabout towards Tunstall (now a B-road).

In Tunstall go past the pub and then straight on at the cross-roads onto a narrow lane towards Blaxhall (1 mile). In Blaxhall go past the pub and turn right – the youth hostel is 200m on the right.

OS map 156 will be useful for the weekend, the youth hostel is at 369570.
