this is a bit more complicated. basically, a Lockean representative view of perception with elements of Russell's sensibillia and Ayer's general skepticism on our ability to prove the existence of the exernal world beyond a certain point (although this brings up semantic difficulties on the definition of 'external' and 'internal' that hinder our conception of the problem. Although, as Wittgenstein reminds us, there is nothing unhealthy about our use of concepts we cannot fully define or explain.
