OCTOBER 2008

9th:

I've started my 2nd year PhD now. All the newbies have arrived (not joined the omniladder yet, but they will do by the next tournament). I asked for 3 hours of teaching and was given 6 (!) and all my seminars are organised up until pretty much Easter next year.
Maths is still going slow, but I'm chipping away at it. The earliest I've been home from the office is 8pm, and those are only on the days when I need to cook.
I've taken to cooking LARGE meals this year - like, cooking a large portion, and splitting it into three meals. This way, I don't have to cook as often, I can regulate my portions, and I can take dinner to work and stay late. I've also learnt to make crumble. We still have a lot of crumble mix left, so I need lots of fruit. I only hope Tom can help me eat it.

Judging exam this Sunday - not at all prepared for it, but I guess we'll see how it goes.

The wii is still good - I bought a few games for it. I still haven't started Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, but Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Guitar Hero keep calling me back. Seeing as I only play the wii on the days I'm home early (by early, I mean, before 10pm), I won't get to play as much as I could do. Still, Saturdays are a nice day of relaxation when I can just laze around the flat and play wii all day. Much deserved, I reckon.

SEPTEMBER 2008

14th:

So the last time my bicycle needed repair, it was on a Friday evening, after cycling back from the pub, after I'd given a seminar. Well, I gave a seminar the Friday just gone... and guess what happened. I mean, what are the chances? At least this time it only required a new inner tube (the valve on my rear wheel got knackered somehow and the tube was irreparable).

Well I'm doing a judging course all next weekend, and then Elaine and her new bloke are coming up to visit the weekend after. I'd also like to get some climbing in at some point too. But we'll see.

4th:

September. An interesting month. I have a seminar to give next friday, I have a first year report to write, I've got a graph to find, seminars to organise, and new people to induct. Still, it seems to be going well enough. My new office is bright and has yielded some pretty decent work time, usually during the evening. The flat at home is great, the Wii is fine (although I don't play it much).

I've dropped to #9 on the Omniladder with the latest tilt: "Oh Shit, we're in Rochdale". The object being that me and my opponent will be stranded somewhere random in Greater Manchester with only £5. First one back to the office wins. I lost, by about an hour. Never mind, it was an interesting tilt at least. Required a lot of set up, and being blindfolded en route to the drop off point. Elton Resevoir. pfst.

AUGUST 2008

9th:

That's the Marking Review finished. 3 weeks of eating hotel food, putting on weight and looking after a load of English literature/ language examiners. Still, it was a good time and I got a fair few presents which was nice. So now that's done, it's back to PhD work... which hasn't been going so great but I WILL make progress on it next week.

Gave blood on Thursday, which was fine for me, and fine for Katie and Lorna who came with me. Phil on the other hand decided to be overly dramatic and nearly faint afterwards, but he was alright in the end once we'd pumped him full of food and juice.

Will be back in Norfolk for a few days at the end of August for Mum's birthday. Should be another nice break, I'll see if I can catch up with some old friends while i'm there.

Still loving the flat. It's nice and quiet, it's warm and... well it's just nice.

JULY 2008

16th:

That's it! Finished. Any bit of stress and disruption to normal routine is finished.

Moving house took 10 hours to move. That was with 4 cars and 6 people loading and moving. Started at 2.30pm and didn't finish until 12.30 the next morning. It was an absolute nightmare. Still, the new place it definitely worth it.
It's quiet, I hear no traffic; the flat is warm, even when there is no heating on; the neighbours are friendly; it's not actually that far away from the office - it's about 4 miles which I can do in 22-30 minutes (depending on how fast I go).

I've been to America and back again, which was a lovely break away. No thinking about work, no thinking about moving house (although I was leaving certain utility set-ups to Tom). Incidentally, Japanese Hibatchi restaurants are awesome.

Also, today, we moved office. No longer do I have a room with no window. I asked the right people nicely and gave them convincing arguments, and got 4 of us an office with a window, which is brighter; it's closer to the kitchen, bathroom, and the printer; and much more space (being only 4 of us) and in short, what I would say is a good deal. However, we get 2 more students in September so it'll be 6 in the office in total. Still better than 8 without a window!

The final thing was getting my computer set up. My new room didn't have a desk, and so it was not practical to set my desktop up. So I ordered a workstation from Argos which arrived today. I've just spent 2 and a half hours building the desk and a further 2 hours getting everything set up and I want it. But it's done now.
Also, my desktop is now wireless, but I had to buy a new router in order for the signal strength to be good enough for my desktop. Still, that also arrived this morning.

I'll be working in a hotel pushing papers again (like last year) starting Friday, so that'll be a nice bit of income coming in.

JUNE 2008

22nd:

Frustration: Mathematics
OK, so I've been looking at a group for a long time. I know explicitly what this group consists of. Moreover, I know the exact structure of the group. The bad thing is that although I KNOW the structure, I don't know how it works. It's like saying "I have this car. It is silver, the license plate says XX07XXX, it is a 5-door, 1.6 litre Nissan Primera with power steering and a turbo charger. However, I have absolutely no idea how the engine works". That's the frustration, and I'm not much closer to solving it. Don't get me wrong, I've had IDEAS. Unfortunately, these ideas are usually of the form "If I assume A, then I can try B, C and then D. However, proving A is a bastard".

Distraction: Darts
I've been playing darts on a Friday night because throwing stuff at the wall is somewhat therapeutic, and to have a game involving throwing things at the wall makes it fun. I have not yet come last in Round the Clock (I've come second from last, both weeks, after trailing in last place for a long time). I came last in Tactics, but that game is very unpredictable. I kicked everybody's ass in Killer, and in 2 teams of doubles in 501, we lost. However, we were on double 5 to win, so it's not like we were far far away.

Frustration: Moving house
So we get kicked out of here next Sunday (i.e. 8 days). He has said that we can stay for an extra week on condition that we pay him an extra week. However, that won't help, as I'm going to America in that particular week, and as such won't be able to properly move out in that week. So we need to get the keys, at the latest, on Saturday. The problem with Saturday, is that my housemate is doing a concert in London, and so won't be able to move his stuff, which means I would have to recruit two of my friends, and move both of our stuff. Suffice to say, neither me or my housemate wants that situation (well, i'm ok with it, but he's sticking with "it's not right for you to have to do it by yourself"). So that leaves Friday. Wednesday/Thursday he's doing concerts elsewhere again, and so that leaves Tuesday too. Our original plan was to get the keys on Tuesday, take photos of any damage (so we're not liable for it at the end of tenancy), clean (because we're clean people, and we're likely to have higher standards of clean than others) and get new furniture (because I'd need a new desk). Then we'd stay where we are until Friday, and then move our stuff in and properly move on Friday. The problem is that we're waiting on the references from various people to get back to them, and if it's not done in time, we may not be able to get the keys on Tuesday, and its somewhat stressful.

Distraction: Omniladder
My favourite distraction - a ladder tournament where the games are anything, provided they are fair and safe. OK, I haven't done as much this month, but I did win my last one. We're in the Mutiny at the moment - a week every two months where the bottom of the ladder and the top of the ladder play a game, and should the person at the bottom win, the whole ladder is flipped upside down. Thankfully, I'm pretty much in the middle, so it doesn't affect me too much - but i'm hoping the ladder flips, because i would still move up 4 places.

Frustration: Sciatica
Yes, I have Sciatica, and it's a real pain in the ass - literally. Wednesday and Thursday (Thursday especially) was absolute agony. Friday morning, I was standing with more weight on the right leg... and then sneezed... and then nearly collapsed due to the excruciating amount of pain. However, 20 minutes later and then for the rest of the day, I could walk normally and only felt a slight aching twinge. It's on and off, and i would much rather it be gone.

Distraction: Cycling
Thankfully, Cycling doesn't affect the Sciatica in the slightest, as the movement of the legs is not in an aggravating way. I've really got into cycling, I can now signal, and cycle places and traverse roundabouts. The fact that I know how to drive too helps, as I know the ways of the road and where to look and such.

Finally, I've put up a whole load of new photos, and rearranged things slightly. There is no longer a "guest photos" album, I've merged them in with the previous years the correct places.

4th:

Bought a bike, broke a bike, got the bike fixed, works fine. Yes people, I can "ride" a bike now. I haven't got round to leanring how to signal yet, but I've been riding to and from work every weekday since I bought the bike (barring the day it was broken - don't ask). Last night, I even successfully traversed Stockport Road, something I previously didn't feel comfortable doing. To be honest, I still don't feel comfortable doing it, but I've done it once during light traffic and it wasn't so bad. Maybe another time!

The Pure Postgraduate Seminar went well, and my poster at the Mathematics Research Students Conference went down well. I've got a TeX file (and hence a pdf) of the work done so far, and Peter (my supervisor) has it. We'll see what he thinks of it. Work has reached a sort-of stand-still at the moment, although I have an idea as to which way to go. But right now, I am in the middle of marking exams so work takes second priority. I only have 70 exam scripts left to mark though, and they can be done tomorrow (they'll have to - somebody else has the 70 scripts I need to mark, and they haven't given them to me yet)

Birthday celebrations went down very very well, the bill was paid happily, nobody disagreed as to where to go after the meal. The only major disagreement was which way to the pub was the quickest way. Weird, but typical. All in all, it was a good night and I think everybody enjoyed it.

Tom and I are still looking at apartments to move into. We found 2 nice ones, but each one had a snag with them, so we're still looking. Tom has been doing the housing research and I've been cross-checking them, and then we've both been doing recon before arranging formal viewing. Hopefully that method will work. Behind the lines, Mum is looking to buy an apartment, but the only places within price range appear to be in scum areas of Manchester. Can't be helped I guess.

MAY 2008

3rd:

It's going to be a busy week, let alone month. I'm giving the Pure Postgraduate Seminar next friday, I'm presenting a poster at the Mathematics Research Student Conference the following monday, I've got my godparent's anniversary dinner in a few weeks, and the my parents are coming up at the end of the month. Crazy. Moreover, Tom and I are going to start looking for a suitable place to move to - we're getting increasingly less happy with the place we're in - not so much the flat, but definately the area. I've been debating on whether to buy a mode of transport other than foot. I thought about a car, but decided that I couldn't afford it, and I wouldn't use it as much as I'd like. However, if I bought a bike, I'd get exercise, i'd get to work faster, and probably would be able to use it to get to the gym and back (and it may be quicker than the buses). The drawback there is - I need to learn to ride a bike. Mum has already expressed disapproval, seeing as she remembers how bad I am on a bike - but if I practice, i'm sure I'll get it. I need to learn sometime.

APRIL 2008

14th:

Well after the Easter break, I guess it's back to usual routine. I've also put myself on Mr. Diet again - so i'm back on salads. Both fruit and regular. Still, if i can get back to 11stone, i'll be happy.
I haven't done any more work recently on the recoding of the site. I think it's just the photo sections that need doing, but i'll have another look, and I may end up tweaking certain things.

2nd:

I'm off to New York today, so I'll be away until the 10th. Should be a good trip, I'll be attending I-Con this weekend at Stony Brook University too. The BMC at York last week was good. Badly organised and lemonade prices were extortionate, but lots of free cake. Including THAT cake, the one that was a coronary on a plate. Also, my room got upgraded to en-suite free of charge, so it wasn't all bad.
Research was going well before the BMC, but it's ground to halt in recent weeks. The BMC and this America trip won't help it much, but also I'm stuck anyway. At least I know what I'm aiming for, it's just a case of knowing which way to approach it, and seeing if it works. I could try brute force, but i'm also looking into some elegant methods too.
Had some trouble uploading the last update, but it seems to be working now. So the photos from the FSM gig are definately up now. The new version of the website hasn't been touched for about a month, but I think just the photos section needs to be sorted out, everything else is pretty much done.
A final mention is to congratulate Marianne Johnson and Erik Pickett for passing their PhD viva with no and minor corrections (respectively). Well done chaps.

MARCH 2008

17th:

Wow, lots of updates this month. I've just put up photos from the Four Star Mary gig from the 16th. Nice to have a break now, no undergrads around. So I have a week of work, then a week at a conference, and then a week in New York. Eventful!

12th:

I've finally finished my two graphs in my work. So now I've got do extend the ideas and find the graphs for the next category. As well as that, I've got to present my work on a poster for the Manchester Research Students Conference in May.
In 2 weeks, I'm going to York to the British Mathematical Colloquium for a week, which should be interesting. Then the week after that, I'm off to New York again to see Dani. Should be a good month.
I've dug out some old photos, been given some old/new ones, and put up a couple of new ones. See below for details.

6th:

It's been a very hectic month. I've finished a section on my work (this was the bits that my supervisor had done already, and I had to fill in the gaps and such), and then I went on and did some more work (all my own work, My supervisor hadn't even thought of doing this) and I've nearly finished it. So it's going slowly, but I guess you could say "well".
We've had a few house problems recently: The boiler not working, the pipes leaking and most recently, the toilet flooding. Not fun.
Nothing new up yet, but I'm in the middle of recoding the website (when I get time) and I have some old photos and new photos to put up when I get round to it.

FEBRUARY 2008

6th:

After 2 weeks of a terrible cold, I'm back in the saddle (so to speak). No new photos yet, but I've (with the use of the way back machine), I've found copies of my first site (and used the backups of v2 and 3) to make a snapshot - just click the site history at the bottom. Also, I've recovered some news posts from before August 2004, so I've added that to the news archive. I'm currently stuck on my work, i'm feeling tired and lethargic, but I will press on. I'm teaching two classes this semester, and I have 2 lectures to attend too. At least I'm not in debt.

1 and a half more days of work to go!

1st:

Christmas is in sight! I've finally got a PhD topic to work on, and it's hard, but i'm slowly getting through it. I've been to many seminars, a conference, and a lot of lectures, and had no real break. To be honest, I'm flagging a little bit, but that's how research goes I guess. At least I have a nice long break and Dani to look forward to.

1st: I'm a week into the PhD, it's alright so far. James came up last weekend, which was good. Nice to see him again. Also, I've just bought tickets to go and see Dani again for New Years, so that's where i'll be for that event.
First installment of my grant today. Yay!

SEPTEMBER 2007 Addendum: After a full recovery from the Jetlag, I'm made some little amendments here and there; I've added a lot of new banner pictures, and now when clicked will give a larger image in the main window; I've added a few photos into the Guest Album from 3 different people (I've still got some more to add when I recieve them); The video of my world-wide-trek is up in the videos section.
3 days till Ph.D
Update 1: I'm back from my world-wide-trek and have got a large haul of photos to show, amongst other things. First off, I was hoping to keep all my photos "in-house" and not use any external websites or hosting servers. It looks like that is no longer possible as I don't have enough space on the server to fit them all in. Thankfully, I have sorted everything out and now all the photos from 1998-2005 are being hosted by Photobucket, and hopefully (crosses fingers) you shouldn't notice any change.
Also, I've redone the captioning system on the photo pages, as you may notice, so everyone should now be able to see the captions, provided you haven't disabled javascript. So: new photos in 2007, one new in 1998-2000 and one new in 2003, and a better quality photo of one in 2001. I have been recieving additional photos from 2001-2004 from Toby and Sarah, so when I recieve them all there will be new photos in the Guest album too.
I start my Ph.D (Mathematical Sciences) in less than 2 weeks.

JUNE 2007 Hey guys! As you may have noticed, I have stopped doing the video posts. I ran them for a year, and there was no problem with them, visually. However, I found that there were just some times I couldn't bear to talk into a camera, and I found myself updating less. So the crux of the reason is: I can't be bothered!
However, the (more) good news is that we have some updates! We have 84 new photos in the 2007 album, from our trip to the Peak District. There is a new wallpaper in the photosection. There is a new video in the video section (Bouldering 2007). Finally, due to inactivity, the forum boards have closed and I have taken it down.
On the upside, I have now finished my degree, and am working in AQA again (this time in a crap department). Last, but not least, the birthdays from last April:
  • Happy 22nd Birthday to Charlotte "Chibi" Hart for the 11th May
  • Happy 22nd Birthday to Charlotte Hester for the 21st May
  • Happy 22nd Birthday to Lucy Fysh for the 25th May

3rd May I thought I would start something new for this site, here it is - the first vid-post! Nothing has been updated, I just wanted an excuse to try it out. Work is slowly getting there, and my 3rd year is close to ending. How scary it that, eh?

PRE-VIDPOST NEWS

(August 2004 - April 2006)

APRIL 2006 28th April: Uploaded about 10 photos to the 2006 album. Nothing exciting, but an update is an update. Deadlines are becoming more managable, and it looks like it's starting to all fall together nicely. Am less worried about it all now, which is good.

18th April: Just a quick update today, new bio in the bios section: Amanda!
Work sucks ass, and I hate my exam timetable. Which moron made it? Was it you?

15th April: Not much has been happening recently with all the work and stuff that's been going on. Had a great time last week with Oldham, Neil and Thom Sharp. Should do it again sometime! One new bio has been added to the bios section: Thom Harrison.
MARCH 2006 25th March: Welcome, one and all, to the new version of Catacombite.co.uk. Vastly different in appearence, not much different in content. I'd recommend looking at the new updated bios in the bios section (d'uh), and at the new 2006 section of the photos. Also, I have a birthday announcement:
  • Happy 21st Birthday to Toby Reeks for the 23rd March!
  • Happy 23rd Birthday to Will Darbishire for the 29th March!
15th March: New version of the site going live on the XXVth March (one and a half weeks). Those that haven't done your profiles, you got 2 weeks! Main point of today's post:
  • Happy Birthday to Mark Bryce for TODAY! the 15th March
FEBRUARY 2006 26th February: Got a load of photos to put up soon. I'll have them up at the end of March when i put up the new site. The main reason for today's post is:
  • Happy Birthday to James Oldham for TODAY! the 26th February
21st February: Sorry for the major lack of updates, but as most of my mates will know, I've been working on redesigning the site (they're updating their profiles), so i've been working on that. Also, I've been working hard to try and understand 3 different russian lecturers, and I've been doing my senior coaching course in acrobatics. And my project is a bitch. But anyway - the real reason for this news post:
  • Happy Birthday to Sarah Darbishire for TODAY! the 21st February
JANUARY 2006 11th January: Finally Guys! I have teh updates! ok, so only 44 photos uploaded... but WAIT, there's more! I've reorganised the photo section around. They're no longer in different albums. They're now catergorised by year. So sift through them at your own free will. Plus, the thumbnails are smaller too to save space. Birthdays:
  • Happy Birthday to Thom Sharp for the 5th January
  • Happy Birthday to Chi-Wai Chiu (Tez) for the 7th January
1st January: Happy new year to everyone. 2006 has started, and yes - it was the most sober new years eve for 4 years. Oh well, at least I got a big meal out of it. Hope everyone enjoys today, and look forward to tomorrow, when we all have to get back to work (job-wise or study-wise). Take care everyone
DECEMBER 2005 28th December: I'm going to make this the final news post for 2005, as I currently have no new photos to upload, and not much is flying in the face of excitement around here (translation: I'm watching CSI, and i'm going to be a real geek and not leave the house until i've seen all the episodes on the DVD). SO, i want to wish everyone a very merry xmas, and a very special new year. Times are changing people, we're all growing up. Good luck to those i've already lost contact with, and a special congratulations to Mic Culham, on his engagement to María. Finally, i shall conclude with the last few birthdays for the year:
  • Happy Birthday to Tom Verity for the 24th Decemeber
  • Happy Birthday to Dilip Parmar for the 28th December
  • Happy Birthday to Anna Williams for the 28th December
  • Happy Birthday to Katy Doyle for the 29th December
  • Happy Birthday to Elaine Threlfall for the 30th December

I wish everyone the best of luck for the new year, and I will make my first post of 2006 on new years day.

23rd December: Not really much updating going on, but i'm holiday, give me some slack! I have about 30 photos to put up, but they won't go up until january because my desktop is still in manchester. I'm back in Norfolk now, and thankfully we have wireless now, so i can use my laptop. Have just been given a new router for manchester, so we should have better internet soon. Hope to see people while i'm back. Just bear in mind that i probably won't have transport anywhere, so don't get your hopes up. Birthdays:
  • Happy Birthday to Natalie Everett for the 15th December
  • Happy Birthday to Tobit Michael for the 15th December

3rd December: Finally! an UPDATE! not much, but i've redone the links page. Flash has gone, and some simple tables (yes, i know, evil, but they're easy). Check them out, when you have the time!

1st December: Well, still, not much is happening. Work load is getting hard, and i have a hard project to decipher. Other than that, it's all going well. I'm hoping to have a few photos to upload over the next couple of weeks, but i can't promise much. Been surprisingly dull, so far. However, there is an xmas party which i've been convinced to attend, so hopefully we have have a good haul of photos from that. Am hoping to redesign the site in March 2006, so beware a change may be afoot. maybe a leg. In terms of birthdays:
  • Happy Birthday to Matt Robinson for the 29th November
  • Happy Birthday to Dann Hutton for TODAY! the 1st Decemeber
NOVEMBER 2005 22nd November: I must severely apologise for the lack of updates. Many reaons: first my computer died, and i had to shell out another £300 to build a new one (thankfully, my DVD drives and ram, and peripheral devices were salvagable. Unfortunatly, everything else had to be replaced. Secondly, I've now got a laptop which is what i will now do all my webdesigning on, but it's hard to use because the gas lift on my chair has gone, and the table is too high. Poor excuse i know, but it is true enough. I'm also sorry to say, that in nearly 3 months of uni, there hasn't been many photos taken! sorry guys, but nothing very eventful has actually happened here. If something is happening in Norfolk over xmas, then maybe i can salvage a collection from there. In the meantime, i've had plenty of work to do up here, and I still have a lot of coursework left. Also, I've recently got this sunday morning thing where i'm coaching in Ashton-In-Makerfield at Wigan Seagulls Gym Club, and i've been going climbing a lot recently. Hope everyone is good. Phil, you still owe me money - £16.64 for the gas and electricity bill from last year. Birthdays now:
  • Happy Birthday to Thom Harrison for the 4th November
  • Happy Birthday to Giles for the 18th November
  • Happy Birthday to Paul for TODAY! the 22nd November
OCTOBER 2005 Dead Computer
SEPTEMBER 2005 24th September: Everyone is back in the house now, and I'm registered, got my loan and such. My computer is playing up a little bit though, and i can't access my university email... but i can get through it. Added a few more photos to "Summer 2005". Birthdays:
  • Happy Birthday to Yanqing for the 10th September
  • Happy Birthday to Roma for the 17th September
7th September: Well, this summer wasn't particually eventful (hence the lack of photos), but there is a small photo album added to sum up the summer. Birthdays also:
  • Happy Birthday to Tilly for the 18th August
  • Happy Birthday to Simon for the 22nd August
  • Happy Birthday to Mum for the 28th August
  • Happy Birthday to Bob for the 30th August
AUGUST 2005 10th August: Finally, I've had some time to do some work to the site. As you can see, there is some slight improvement to the design. As i got my results back and got a first in everything, INCLUDING my webdesign module from last year, i decided I should put those skills to good use. I know code my html by hand now (yay!) and use css. Well, the site should start to look a bit nicer now :) oh yeh, I've also abused the tables a bit, but they look so nice and neat. Let this be the launch of Catacombite v3.3! Right, well onto birthdays:
  • Happy Birthday to Amanda for the 21st June
  • Happy Birthday to Steve for the 7th July
  • Happy Birthday to Dad for the 8th July
  • Happy Birthday to Scott for the 12th July

JULY 2005 No Activity
JUNE 2005 8th June: I'm writing for the final time in manchester before I return home to Lynn. Good Luck to Phil, who will be in America the whole of next year. Good Luck to Elaine, who will be on her year of industry in Kent next year. Happy Birthday to Emii for the 4th, and Happy birthday to Neil for the 10th. NO MORE EXAMS!! I've added 33 photos to "20 Zero Five". I shall safely say that this album is now a complete one.
MAY 2005

31st May: Added another 11 photos to "20 Zero Five". Thanks everyone! You're all the best

30th May: Right, so happy birthday to Charley Hester for the 21st, Lucy Fysh for the 25th, Jess James for the 26th! Hope you had great days. it's MY birthday tomorrow, but I have exams, so we've already done celebrations and a few of the photos are up in a new (but incomplete) photo album, entitled "20 Zero Five". Also, a brand new wallpaper "Skipping Stones" is up for download in the photos section.

14th May: With the launch of a new (sub)version, I've updated the header (at the top) so that a random image/funny speech pic appears each time you visit. If you want to change the images, click the Catacombite.co.uk logo! the Bravenet counter has been restored to it's original sword shape after 2 years, and just above this, you'll notice that everytime you revisit this home page, the quote also changes. Yes, my friends... I have been abusing JavaScript. Added 12 new photos into "Latter Year Drunks" in the photo section

11th May: Happy birthday to Chibi for today! don't get too drunk. Added a photo menu bar to the photo section, and also moved the site to the nildram server. No more lycos ads on the site! Here lies the launch of Catacombite v3.2.1

APRIL 2005

23rd April: I passed my exam. I'm now officially a tramampoline coach! Another 7 photos added to "Latter Year Drunks". Analysis still sucks.

10th April: Back to uni tomorrow. Loan just came through... I'm slightly hungover. No matter! Elaine brought up some photos for me to scan, and i've added them in the appropriate albums. 11 NEW photos in "Guest Photos" and 15 NEW photos in "Xmas 2004"

MARCH 2005

25th March: Happy Birthday to Toby for last wednesday. Just come back from seeing Feeder at the apollo. Have to say, haven't enjoyed a gig like that for a while. a welcome change. I have 7 photos (albeit very blurry) from the gig, and they're up in "Latter Year Drunks" - Photo Section.

14th March: Happy Birthday to Brycey for tomorrow! New photo album posted up. I may add to it in due course though...

7th March: Happy birthday to Sarah for the 21st Feb, and Oldham for the 26th Feb. Had a computer failure last week, but luckily didn't lose anything, and it's all fixed too. New photo album is in development. Should hopefully be done by Easter.

FEBRUARY 2005

14th February: So i don't have a date tonight. Big Deal - I have sped-up songs to keep me amused. Added 1 link to... urm... the links section

9th February: Added a "Lost Souls" bit to the profiles section. Also reposted some of our "past" profiles from 2 years ago. You find each one on the appropriate person's profile (Click on the old photo)

DECEMBER 2004 10th December: Happy Birthday to my dear Sister for next wednesday. Have a great day at Center Parcs -_- No new photos i'm afraid, seeing as somebody deleted all the photos off my camera, so sorry Giles, we've lost the ones from your birthday.
NOVEMBER 2004

29th November: Happy birthday to Dann for this wednesday, have a good time! Mine, and Liz's profile pictures updated. My Profile updated. Productive week!

25th November: Congratulations to Elaine and Scott - Hope you're both happy ;) Steve Rapley's profile was updated today

24th November: Happy Birthday Giles and Paul, whose birthdays it were last week. Notice I've updated the intro to incorporate a couple of new people into the mix. Not a huge change, but nice to scope it out!

1st November: New Profile posted - Mark Bryce. Congratulations Brycey, you are now officially part of the least visited website in existance. Be Proud!

OCTOBER 2004

31st October: New Introduction - A lot bigger than the last one, but I like it. Thanks to Scott, Elaine and Giles!

23rd October: New Photo album put up - A collection of photos from this semester in our house, cunningly titled "Household Goods"

14th October: OK, I've been a bit lax on the updates, but I've put a new photo album up. It's photo's from 2003, but from the Knightmare RPG which I was at. I thought I should put some of those photos up as it was such a good trip!

SEPTEMBER 2004

27th September: Now, I have internet in my house. w00t! So updates will happen... as and when I put them up!

AUGUST 2004

31st August: Added 20 more photos to "Summer 04", and some of the profile pics have now been updated

30th August: Just doing little nit picks of the site now. I've put up a new photo album, which only contains one party, but that'll be updated by the end of the summer. Also, Tom Verity tells me he's got some photos to put into the "Birthday Peaks Guest Photos" album, so they'll go up as soon as he's sent them to me. Also notice that the "Summer 04" photos are less glared that before. Say hello to brand new digital camera! Also, I've put up a Wallpaper bit in the Photos

22th August: I've finally got round to doing something with the site. As you can see, the only things left of the site are the photos and profiles, as they are worth seeing. Also, most of the flash/fireworks stuff has gone so 56K losers... i mean, people (^_^;), can access it easily

MARCH 2004 8/3/2004

Website looking like it's gone down the pan. Really can't be arsed with it anymore. Comments? Don't bother, don't care.

JUNE 2003 13/06/2003

Ok. scrub that about me failing P5. If i get anything less than an A i will be severely unhappy. That was one of the most easiest papers known to man... provided you can do maths, that is. lots of "show that" questions, and only a couple of mistakes. I predict about 90%. heh heh heh, watch my head grow...

JANUARY 2003 24/1/2003

Exams over. WOOHOO!!!

Anyway, have fun whatever you're doing.

AUGUST 2002 5/8/2002

Mega update today. I decided to finally update most of the music section... well, some of it anyway.
Expect more updates to come. Finally, I've got some Free Radical Formation mp3's!!! Not good quality, but listenable. Check in the MUSIC section
