Home Groups

If you would like to join a group, please talk with Peter or Sam, or contact the church office. Everyone is welcome.

The church has three Pastoral areas in the locality, and each area has groups that meet in homes on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings – usually fortnightly – and usually from around 8pm to 9:30 to 10pm. You may want to join a group that is in the area you live in, alternatively you may prefer to join a group where you already know someone.

The groups provide a friendly and informal setting in which to meet, ask questions or share any concerns, and encourage others. There is time for worship, bible study, discussion, prayer and (of course!) refreshments.

Venues for next couple of weeks:

They are Biblical (e.g. Acts 2:46; Romans 16:5) and they are the natural place for us to:

Integrate people, especially newcomers, into the life of the church.
Grow in confidence through prayer, friendship, and discovering and using our spiritual gifts.
Grow in faith through Bible study and applying it to our lives, through prayer, encouragement and service.
Learn to serve others (in and out of the group) with our spiritual gifts.
Encourage each other and be supported in times of need.
Play an active part in growing the church both spiritually and numerically.
Share our faith through social outreach events (eg BBQs).

In other words, the groups help each of us to grow as disciples of Christ, and to play our part in helping others to grow.
