can also offer general help on family law, consumer issues, employment, personal
injury, immigration and other legal issues
How to access our service
Our three bureaux operate an open-door system on first-come, first-served basis.
If during the course of the interview it becomes clear that the client needs a
further visit to deal with a complicated matter, we will usually be able to offer an
appointment.
If waiting is difficult for a client because of limited mobility or caring
responsibilities we can offer an appointment for the first interview. In very special
circumstances, we may be able to conduct home visits.
We can refer clients to another appropriate service and inform the client if any
costs are involved. Clients may be referred from their local bureau to a solicitor who attends the CAB offices
for advice on specific points at no charge.
