The following plaque was unveiled in Torr Top Street on October 22, 2002 by George Cooper, the grandson of the First World War hero mentioned on the plaque. Also present was Mrs. Parkin, the daughter of Private John Hibbert, and Callum, the great-grandson of John Cooper. Five representatives of the Sherwood Foresters, together with the regimental mascot, Private Derby, joined members of the Town Council at the ceremony
