believe the satisfaction of having you involved in choosing details such as
instrument decoration, string length, string tension, tone, rose & fretwork
design, types of wood, etc. is vital in producing an instrument that fully meets
your playing and performing requirements.
My
policy is always to use materials from renewable and sustainable sources and
wherever possible from local suppliers. I do not use tortoiseshell or ivory in any
of my instruments but instead use bone, highly figured wood veneers, or modern
imitation materials to obtain the same decorative result.
