Why Join a Church Choir?

You're running out of clean clothes and a robe saves on laundry.

The church is usually crowded and you want to make sure you always have a seat.

You've just been selected for jury duty and you want to get use to sitting with a large group of people.

The collection plate is never passed to the choir.

There's a clock in the back of the church and you want to know when one hour has passed.

For years you have wanted to know who sits in the back of the church but were afraid to turn around and look.

You've been known to nod off during the service and don't want the minister to catch you.

The chairs for the choir are padded and are the most comfortable chairs in the church.

The choir currently comprises of about fourteen members and meets for practise before the service at 9.45am in the church each Sunday from September to Easter.

We are an informal group whose aim is to enjoy singing together, to lead the congregation in praise, to help introduce new items of congregational praise and occasionally to perform an Introit at the Sunday service.

We are always on the lookout for new members of any age or gender. Previous experience is not necessary, nor is the need to read music essential as this will develop with experience. Much of the singing is in unison although from time to time we may tackle something in parts.

You are most welcome to contact me or any member of the choir should you require any further information. My telephone number is 01561 377996 and my E Mail - billman7@tiscali.co.uk.
