About Greg Daffern

After many years in chemical engineering and working in electronics with computer aided design, Greg moved into technical documentation back in the early 1980s. He spent almost 10 years documenting RADAR and SONAR systems for a major UK defence supplier.

After time out to write press releases, magazine articles and speeches for major IT companies, he moved into software documentation - and has never looked back! Gaining experience as a part-time Further Education lecturer, Greg added documentation training to his portfolio, and in early 1998 became the first Certified RoboHELP Instructor (CRI) outside North America. Greg formed GD Consultants later that year, and the business has grown steadily since.

With qualifications in subjects as diverse as Leather Manufacture (honestly!), Communication and Electronics/Computer Engineering, Greg has a wealth of knowledge in a wide range of subjects.

Greg is also the proprietor of a pub - the Lincolnshire Poacher in Stamford. In what remains of his spare time, Greg is a singer/guitarist on the local pub scene.
