1 Introduction

This section includes notes, minutes and presentations made at various project meetings.

1.1 2006-12 ISO STEP Hershey

At the ISO STEP Hershey meeting a technical walkthrough of version 0.5 of the mapping was presented.

1.2 2006-06 ISO STEP Toulouse

At the ISO STEP Toulouse meeting technical work was done to move past V0.31 of the mapping. Implementation feedback from the pyEXPRESS project was presented.

1.3 2006-03 Status and update sesssion at ISO STEP Vico Equense

1.4 2005-12 Workshop hosted by HDF Group

A 3-day technical workshop was held at the facilities of the HDF Group at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.

1.5 2005-06 ISO STEP Valencia

At the ISO STEP Valencia meeting the first draft EXPRESS/HDF5 mapping was reviewed. Comments from very early implementation experience were discussed. The major issue to be addressed is that HDF5 Datasets must be used to represent all high-volume data as that contruct is where Partial I/O and other optimizations are possible with HDF5.

1.6 2005-03 ISO STEP Lillehammer

At the ISO STEP Lillehammer meeting a 1.75 day workshop was held to produce a first draft EXPRESS/HDF5 mapping sufficient to prove the concept.
