Roxie was born on December 2nd 2000 and came to live with us on 15th June 2002. Her breeder entrusted her to us after Roxie had undergone a successful operation for entropian (click here to see photos of Roxie's eyes in the weeks following the op.); she felt that Roxie would benefit from an environment where she would get more attention - especially as she would not now been shown, nor (of course) bred.

The following pictures are a snapshot of her first ten months with us.

The journey home was uneventful, apart from some panting.

She was a little bemused at first!

Her eyes still looked red from the op a week after she arrived.

This close-up shows her eyes were healing by 27th June

Roxie takes a great interest in all that is around her!

I'm not sure the cats were quite prepared for Roxie's enthusiasm!

The 3 girls enjoyed their quiet times together.

It wasn't long before Roxie was playing with Toby & Maggie.

Over the summer months, Roxie decided she liked her new home.

She was accepted as a fully paid up member of 'The Gang'.

Toby was quite happy to have her tag along.

And they all ate together very amicably.

But Maggie is her special friend...

Where they are, trouble isn't far behind!

And as there's only 11 months between them, they should have a long and happy life together.

This is one of the last photos before Annie crossed the Bridge.

Roxie used to hate mud and water, but Maggie is teaching her both are fun...

Maggie used to tease Roxie by jumping in the pond...

But when the bridge collapsed, Roxie jumped over the ice to the island anyway!

Peaceful, but for how long?

And this is Roxie's latest portrait. Isn't she beautiful?
