About Us

La Dolce Vita comprises Club DJs, radio presenters and music producers. It was formed in November 2001 as a response to the lack of quality House and Garage club nights within Edinburgh town. Antonio Bellanca and Andrew Henriques were the founders. Both originally from London, and both with a passion for House and Garage they combined talents to bring north the London club sounds.

The pair wanted to create a club night that was fundamentally about quality music with a party vibe and with an attitude free atmosphere. Following the success of Timmi Magics appearance from Radio 1s Dreem Team at club Mambo, (where Antonio Bellanca warmed the decks), they decided to host a fortnightly UK Garage night at the Mambo. The night was an instant hit and soon Bouncing Flow had to move to a bigger and better venue. It was renamed Strictly Rhythm and was relocated to Edinburghs excellent club Po Na Na, Frederick Street.

Through demand, Strictly Rhythm has become weekly during University term time and also incorporated RnB & Hip-Hop into the already fruitful House & Garage cocktail. Having established a regular and unique House & Garage event in Edinburgh La Dolce Vita hope to take the night to Glasgow and other Scottish cities.
