Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy Physiotherapists Assessment First Aid Practice Hours

Physiotherapy is the use of physical approaches in the prevention and treatment of disease and disability.

Physiotherapists are highly trained medical professionals who will have had experience of all areas of medical specialities during their extensive training - from intensive care to sports injury clinics.

Whilst commonly associated with joint and muscle problems physiotherapists may equally well be found working with children, stroke and road traffic victims or respiratory disease.

A key element of the physiotherapeutic approach, apart from rehabilitation of an injury, is prevention of further damage or recurrence. Physiotherapists treat injury by speeding up the body’s natural healing process. They also help to reduce pain, improve mobility and minimise the immediate effects of an injury, thus preventing an ongoing chronic condition developing.
