MG Range


The MG Range is an extremely compact yet robust geared A.C. motor which has been specifically designed for use where a light, medium or heavy duty gearbox may be required.

Gearbox Specification
An A.C. open frame shaded pole electric motor (please refer to MS range for options).
Available with a cooling fan where extreme temperatures are encountered.
Output speeds form 2 r.p.m. to 200 r.p.m. are available as standard (other speeds can be obtained on request).
Gearbox housing manufactured from high pressure diecast Zinc Alloy.
Choice ball, needle or sintered bronze sleeve bearings, depending on application.
Output shaft available in 6.00mm, 6.35mm, 8.00mm or 10.00 (other diameters available on request).
Rotation of output shaft can be clockwise or counter-clock when viewed from drive-end.
Torque output ranges from 1lb.ins to 100lb.ins according to motor stack size used and r.p.m.
Choice of helical or spur gears, depending on application. All gears are precision cut by machine from the best quality materials and are designed to give long-life. All gears are lubricated for maintainaince free operation over long periods, thus maintaining a smooth and quiet running unit.
Available in two versions - MGC (compact version) or MGS (where a double shaft application is required).
6 mounting pillars are supplied as standard, and these can be tapped to customer choice.
