not your typical IT nerd...
Heading up the IT team at Nikwax, and Paramo, consisting of an IT Services team, a Database & Programming team and a Development team. The programming team produce in house applications, business reports and look after the SQL and Access databases. The development team work on longer term projects with a view of using IT to progress the company onwards.
And the Services team, where my main involvement is. This team deals with the day to day running of IT. Responsible for the provision of e-mail, internet, security and antivirus, backups and making sure the network infrastructure is reliable and speedy and obviously support for our end users.
We also have two main remote areas linked via VPNs, those being our offices in Seattle, North America and our Covent Garden Store for Paramo.
