Introduction

This page contains a transcript of those ADAMS (and variants) records from Wiltshire that I have come across in the course of my own research, but which so far as I know do not relate to my own ancestors. I hope they may be of use to someone.

Wanborough Baptisms

These baptisms have been extracted from transcripts of the Wanborough Parish Register and related Bishop's Transcripts published by Wiltshire Family History Society, and like any transcripts should be checked against the original records before incorporation in a personal database as fact. The transcript covers the period from March 1582 to June 1837. Spellings are as in the transcript. Where a note is added of the form BT and a date, this indicates that the same entry as in the register is also shown in the Bishop's Transcripts, but with the second date instead of that shown in the register.

Browser compatibility statement

I believe web pages should be accessible to all browsers, rather than surfers being browbeaten into switching to some particular browser to see a page. (How many people would be happy if popular TV programmes could only be watched with the latest model of one particular make of TV set?). I am currently going through this site trying to achieve this as far as possible, but I do not have any means of testing it with all the dozens of browsers out there.
