Some Buildings and Views of Swindon, Wiltshire, England

Any browser

Introduction

Despite having grown from an insignificant market town to major industrial centre in a remarkably short time, and then having the heart of the new town obliterated by 1960s redevelopment, Swindon has a surprisingly large number of interesting buildings. This page illustrates a few of them, both old and new. There is a number of further buildings I hope to add to this page when I get the opportunity to visit again to take the photos. The number of pictures has grown so as to make this page over-large, so I have now set up 8 separate pages for the 8 types of building or view, linked from the list below. Use the back button on your browser to return to this page after viewing any set of pictures, or use the link back here at the end of each page of pictures.
