Modern day Savate (Boxe Francaise) is a kickboxing artform based on a French martial art. Strikes are performed with the hand and shoe. The art's characteristics are its speed, grace, variety of kicks and emphasis on dynamics.

As a fighting system, Savate is a strong stand-alone art. It also complements other disciplines, providing many maneuvering skills (décalage) and fast, long-range kicks (e.g. fouette and chasse).

All of our classes aim to provide an informal and relaxed atmosphere for each student to take the art at their own pace, and get what they want out of the art. If you are starting from scratch, or have trained in other disciplines, new members are always welcome.

Most of our basic training revolves around practicing technique, and conditioning exercises. For all students, there are opportunities to train for light contact competitions, train for gradings, and attend training sessions across the country.

Malvern Savate Kickboxing is GBSF (Great Britain Savate Federation) sanctioned. The GBSF have many clubs across the country, and run regular events (including gradings, training days and competitions).

We train on Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm at the Gym in the Chase School, Malvern. For more information contact
