I managed to raise over a grand last year for breast cancer care doing the Great North Run, but it would be great to raise even more over the next few years.

I have set up a 'Justgiving' page here which will be the official charity page (whatever that means) for this site and also an opportunity to sponsor me for the 2007 Flora London Marathon for which the kind people at Breast Cancer Care have allocated me a place.
Why Breast Cancer Care? I think most people have an affinity with a charity that is related to them and breast cancer is a disease that my Mum has battled with over the past year. When I mention this to people it is very rare that they do not mention a loved one who has suffered from breast cancer in the past, so this charity obviously strikes a chord with a lot of people. Running the Great North Run for Breast Cancer Care also gave me the opportunity to wear a pink, fluffy, bra which I normally can't get away with.
And you know what, I think I can raise more than two and a half grand, so I'm upping the figure to ten grand. Yeah, I know that's a bit ambitious, but I have just over four years and reckon with a bit of effort it is doable.
