Grey Heron – Ardea cinerea

It is usual to see herons in flight along the Brook, or crouched in dark corners fishing.

This one was seen on a murky Easter Sunday in Bingham Park.

Any photographers out there will know the frustration of a bird on a dark day.

However, they can be seen in broad daylight if you’re lucky.
This one was caught catching fish in Endcliffe Park.
