Song Thrush – Turdus philomelos

As can be seen from this picture, thrushes are delightful aquatic birds, often swimming for eels (enough! – Ed)

Ok, ok. This one was bathing in the shallows of the Porter Brook.
It’s the only decent picture of a thrush I’ve got, mainly because their numbers are in serious decline,
due to intensive farming reducing habitat and the use of pesticides cutting down on food.
As with the blue tit, keep checking for better pictures.
