CT on Train and two Ts in Dust2

Our Counter-Strike server is now hosted by NUEON (www.nueon.co.uk) and our Left4Dead2 server by INXGAMING (http://www.inx-gaming.co.uk/). They should run 24/7 barring any technical hiccups. To find them either do a complete server update or you can save time by adding the following IP and Port addresses to your favourites list.

87.117.203.61:27035 for Counter-Strike and

85.234.148.39:27125 for Left4Dead2.


As we said on our welcome page, we welcome anyone on our CSS server but I'm afraid unless you are a 'Dad', you will not be able to get on the Left4Dead2 server. All Dads Army Clan members should be immediately obvious by their [Dads.Army] tags by the way.

Server Policy

There has been a lot of talk amongst the clan recently about some players cheating on our server. These individuals fall into two camps, those that are genuinely very good players and those that are cheating via some kind of cheat or hack. Whenever someone is performing overly well on the server, say 20 kills and 0 deaths, we endeavor to watch this person playing in 'first person' to see if they are obviously using a cheat like a wall hack or not. If we suspect them of cheating they will immediately be kicked and banned.

Sometimes it is difficult to judge if a player is cheating or not. The Dads Army clan prides itself on being a friendly, welcoming clan and having a friendly server to play on. Unfortunately if a player is owning a map, whether cheating or not, they are likely to be asked to find a server that would offer them more of a challenge and if they refuse they will be kicked and/or banned.

We realise that this sometimes means that legitimate players are kicked from our server and this is regrettable. In our defence we feel that if a person is not cheating but is managing to chalk up so many kills for so few deaths, then they are not really being tested as a player and would do better facing stronger opposition elsewhere. We can only suggest they die a little more often and make the game a little more even for both teams.

Hopefully, Valve's Anti-Cheat (VAC) will improve further in future and lessen the number of cheats and improve the games of Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2 for everyone.
