Club Competitions
Martin Inkstand
The silver inkstand was a gifted to the Club by Mr Dougal & Mrs Annie Martin in 1975 for the morning league. The trophy was won in the first season of competition by their daughter Anne.
Carlow Cup
This trophy was first played for in 1986-87 for the 5 o’clock league. The cup was gifted to the club by Mr & Mrs Charles Carlow. Charles (Charlie) was a longstanding servant to the Club. He held the post of Secretary for 16 years havinf previously served as Vice President and President.
Lochend Trophy
This magnificent silver rose bowl was presented to the club in 1961 for the evening league Mr James M. Wood, the Club President.
Norma Cairns-Smith Salver
To celebrate the Club’s 150th Anniversary Mrs Norma Cairns-Smith donated a handsome silver salver for annual competition as club champions. First played for in 1982-83 the trophy was won by a rink skipped by the donor.
Howie Cup
Presented to the Club in 1975 for the Pairs competition by Mrs E. Howie. The first winners were Mrs Norma Cairns-Smith and Mrs Myrtle McArthur.
Sheriff’s Medal
This beautiful silver medal was gifted to Troon Portland by Sheriff David B. Smith in 2004 for an annual points competition.
