Welcome to Rugby Friends of the Earth's website. Please have a look around and check our diary of Events for the latest news of what's on where and when.

This summer we have been campaigning to support the application for Bransford Bridge windfarm near Churchover. Sadly, the planning officer's 34-page report recommended refusal and a disappointing decision was made on the grounds of its potential impact on views despite its clear fit with policy. Please continue to support this project. Let us hope that a revised application can be submitted soon and that this can be the first proper Wind Farm success in Warwickshire.

Last year Rugby FoE campaigned to address the impact that intensive meat and dairy farming have on forests and on the climate. In 2008 amd 2009 we urged the government to back a strong Renewables Directive.
