about :- The housing is manufactured from a single machined aluminium casting and is rated to 300 feet. All openings are sealed with double o-rings and the back panel uses fail-safe rotary latches rather than the more common (and less secure) snap catches. The camcorder LCD screen is fully visible through the rear panel of the housing, so you can be sure that you are capturing that hammerhead stalking your buddy in all its glory ! Unfortunately the right hand smart handle mating lugs have been damaged and can no longer support the handle. A professionally made stainless steel bracket is now used to secure the handle to the housing. This does not have any adverse effect on the operation of the smart handle, although it does mean that the removal of the handle from the housing is not ideal. The designed method of removal of the handle and the repair to the handle are shown above and left. All in all
this is a fantastic bit of kit and I wish I didn't have to part
with it. I have taken some excellent footage with it, but due
to family commitments I can no longer justify keeping it. |
