The
cult Rock Group movie SPINAL TAP sees bass player DEREK
SMALLS (Harry Shearer) wear the Shrewsbury Town 1980-1981

Derek
Smalls can be seen wearing the shirt on a number of scenes
in the film, including the infamous aiport scene where
he enters through a metal detector
The
back of the Spinal Tap DVD shows the bass player in the
shirt
In
2003, I purchased a match worn long sleeve Paul Petts'
shirt from a gentleman in Swansea.
It
was seen internationally in the press and on Sky TV when
worn by Luke Rodgers during STFC's press day proir to
the FA Cup game against Chelsea
The shirt was then copied and has now been reproduced
by TOFFS and was available with proceeds going to the
Keep Your Eye On The Ball chairty
TOFFS
have also produced a retro shirt from the 1960-1961 season
when Peter Dolby scored twice to defeat Everton in the
Football League Cup Quarter Final tie played at Gay Meadow.
This
kit was worn until season 1962-1962 when the colar of
the shirt had a blue stripe on the white trim
A retro 1971 shirt is also available at the STFC club
shop at Gay Meadow
