Tuesday April 13th, 8p.m., Crown Tavern, 43 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1R 0EG - I will be hosting the first ever Granta Magazine pub quiz, on the magazine’s theme for issue 110: Sex. Details for the event and for related events around the country can be found on their website.
Thursday April 15th, 7.45pm, The Firestation, Windsor: The Firestation Bookswap. I present this literary event on the third Thursday of every month, with co-host publisher Scott Pack and a brace of guests authors. Don't expect the polite, reserved atmosphere you would normally find at a literary gathering – The Book Swap is irreverent, entertaining and slightly chaotic. You won’t hear boring speeches, the same old questions or authors reading from their latest book - but you could witness almost anything else. Audience members are required to bring an unwanted book along with them which they will have an opportunity to swap for a different on one on the night. No one leaves empty handed.
