Mike Smart Designs is what we would term in the UK, a "cottage industry" and has been established for over 20 years. Mike has been a modeller since the age of eight and has passed through all the traditional stages of aeromodelling from free flight, control line, single channel R/C, R/C helicopters, fixed wing, scale, slope soaring and thermal soaring. He has designed and drawn models for leading manufacturers, flown for trade demonstration teams, competed successfully in national thermal soaring competitions and is a BMFA Examiner. Mike is a structural engineer by profession and hence we have a sound modelling background based on years of experience and technical knowledge.

We tend to specialise in scale models, both powered and sailplanes, but we cover sports models as well. We are currently working on introducing electric models to our range.
