The voyage out to South Africa of the Canadian Mounted Rifles, cutting found amongst papers of Albert C Moloney, my father's stepfather. He fought in the Boer War. An adventurer, he spent his life prospecting for gold and oil in the Americas, managed a goldmine in Venezuela, lived in Cuba employed by cigar importers Jiminez. His brother was an explorer of Africa in the 1870's to 90's.
