in Boer War. Took up with an actress. Turned to drink. Sent to Australia by family with pittance on condition he never returned. Looked after by nuns, Sidney
. Apparently Grandma used to send money to keep him, and was miffed when his brother Monsignor (Bernard?) ( ?, William)Kelly died and left a stack of money to the Converts Aid Society. It turned out Monsignor Kelly's various books had earned him a stack, and there was no indication he had used any to help his own brother
