Welcome to the Notts Gymnastics Club based at the East Midlands Gymnastics and Sports Acrobatics Centre at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre in Nottingham.  It caters for Women's Artistic Gymnastics for girls aged 5-6 upwards.

2007 BRITISH TEAM CHAMPIONS

In April 1997, advanced gymnasts from Notts Bigwood and Rushcliffe Gym Clubs shared the newly built East Midlands Gymnastics Centre facility at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre in West Bridgford, Nottingham.  They decided to join forces under the leadership of Head Coach Claire Starkey.  Since 1 April 1998, a new club, Notts Gymnastics Club, has been affiliated to the governing body BGA.  Their gymnasts have competed at county, regional, national and international competitions.  The club is run by a team of dedicated coaches and parents, who all put in many hours of voluntary work to make the club a success.

Notts currently rank 3rd in Great Britain in the Women's British Teams Championships.

In June 2005, Notts Gymnastics Club received accreditation of the Gymark.  This is an assurance of quality, tested by British Gymnastics on behalf of Sport England and gives parents and gymnasts the reassurance that the club is nationally recognised as safe, effective and child-friendly.
Aims:
Notts Gymnastics Club will attempt to instill a lifelong appreciation of movement, exercise and sport and to teach children the rewards and qualities of dedication and hard work, helping each individual to reach their potential as a gymnast and enjoy a fit and healthy sporting career.
There are over 200 members and the standard of these gymnasts varies from youngsters who enjoy a fun session once a week to gymnasts who train for over 20 hours per week and compete for British titles.
The East Midlands Gymnastics Centre is also home to the Notts School of Gymnastics,  Notts Acro, General Gymnastics, pre-school gymnastics and classes for adults.  Details of the different sessions can be obtained from the reception desk at the Rushcliffe Leisure Centre Tel: 0115 9234921.
Achievements:

Notts have had gymnasts in the GB teams from 1997, travelling abroad to represent Great Britain, Scotland and England.

Notts have produced several British Champions in various age groups and taken several gold medals at international events throughout Europe.

All our gymnasts and most of our coaches are locally from Nottingham and surrounding areas!
