BJ France - July 2011

“Super Hotel de style "victoria" à Brighton” Rien à dire: tout est parfait! Petit déj copieux, lits confortables, accueil sympathique..! Peut être que parler Français aurait été un plus mais on arrive toujours à se comprendre !

Serena UK - June 2011

"Perfect! ..way beyond our expectations for the price we payed !" We just needed a place to stay overnight that was close to the city centre and the beach! This hotel had perfect location and we had a very comfortable and lovely stay, which included a really nice breakfast!

Joe UK - June 2011

Nice and easy check in - parking outside over night, around the corner from the bars.... Second time staying here... we had a nice bright double room with a view. Not all rooms are on suite, but hey…who cares? Nice hotel, good if your on a budget and close to all the nightlife....We will be back!!

MG Australia - May 2011

Good value for money. Good location as we only had to walk down the street to look at the ocean, directly in front of the old burnt out West Pier. About 10 mins walk to the Brighton Pier. Toilet was a shared one down the hall but this wasn't a problem. Staff very helpful and friendly.

NN USA - May 2011

We enjoyed this guesthouse, great location - I highly recommend this guesthouse. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We did not hear our neighbors. The shower was small and we had a room where we had to share a toilet, but this was not a problem. The lovely man at the reception helped us bring our bags up to our room…!

June 2010 - DS, London

This was a nice, clean hotel with extremely obliging and welcoming staff, just by the seafront and opposite a pleasant stretch of public garden. Could they tell us how to get to our evening's destination? No bother..! A map was immediately printed off the internet. Could they hang on to our enormous suitcase for a few hours after we checked out so that we could have one last swim? Of course, no problem..! Our four berth bedroom, comfortable twin beds plus one double, was situated in the basement, nice and cool in this hot weather, with own small en suite plus extra toilet outside. Continental breakfast in the pleasantly appointed dining room was self service until 10 o'clock, but no one hurried us away. The ample offerings of ham and cheese, toast, cereal and fruit juice more than made up for the absence of bacon and eggs. This was, I suppose, a no frills hotel but as such right at the top of its category.

June 2010 - Mr W, Tamworth

Clean and comfortable - The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable and at a bargain price. Highly recommended.

June 2010 - ES, London

Really great hotel - My husband & I stayed at The Queensbury for a night & enjoyed it immensely. The rooms are clean & nicely decorated, and the shared WC isn't a problem at all. Plus there is a shower and a sink in the room. The location is also pretty ideal, right across from the remainders of the old Victorian West Pier. We will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in Brighton.

May 2010 - DV, London

Worth every penny… 3 of us stayed in a 1 double/1single 4th floor room for Great Escape and were very impressed. The room housed a shower, tea/coffee making facilities/freeview tv/dvd player/ large opening window and a sea view all for £30 per person more than a 12-person-dorm-bed in a local hostel…!

April 2010 - KA, Bexhill-on-Sea

What is everyone complaining about ? It was lovely! Staff were very helpful even stayed open late for check in , room was gorgeous with an enormous window and period chandelier and ceiling lovely big comfortable bed, balcony with provided deck chairs so we could sit on the balcony and drink our tea. All for £49 ! The breakfast was ham, cheese, toast, fruit juice and cereal very good for all inclusive loved the room and would definatley come back ! Yes our toilet was down the hall but I prefered it that way, lovely floor to ceiling mirror as well.

January 2010 - SB, Welling

The room was large enough for 4 adults easily as well as being clean and comfortable. The location was excellent close to the beach, nightlife and shops. The staff were friendly and the hotel itself was very nice. We would definitely stay there again

Nice Little Hotel - So I spent the weekend in Brighton with my girlfriend and it was great. The Queensbury hotel is about 5 minute walk from Churchill Square Shopping Centre, and 5 mins from the beach, great location. In nice part of town with lots of restaurants etc. Room was clean and spacious. Continental breakfast but very pleasant, would definitely stay again if on a budget.

October 2009 - SG, Australia

Not sure what you are all complaining about…! I read a few poor reviews of this place after booking and I was a little bit scared about the stay but it really was ACE for the price! The breakfast was great and the roomwas really clean... is it that big a deal going to the toilet outside the room???

October 2009 - SD, Widnes

A hotel that I found to be spotlessly clean and very friendly. With free Wi Fi internet and great breakfast in a super location. Brighton can be proud of this hotel. Only slightly negative was that we found our room on the ground floor next to the breakfast room, which was a little noisy but that is not the fault of the hotel - it was the fault of noisy inconsiderate guests but you get them wherever you go. All in all a very good 9.9999 out of ten, and priced excellent for two nights (£128 for two with continental breakfast!!)

June 2009 - Review from L. Davidson, Hertfordshire

I have just returned home after a very nice stay in your Room No 1. The room was a superior family room, (all the single rooms had been taken). It was clean and had possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I had a balcony and a sea view, it was lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to book your hotel again, it was very clean and comfortable and you made all of my party feel welcome. Breakfast was self-service and plentiful, we weren't expecting a cooked breakfast, but it would have been nice to have had some variety. (Perhaps a yoghurt or some fruit….) The double bed in Room 1 was very very comfortable and I was wondering if you could tell me the make and type of mattress, as we are about to replace ours at home and would like to get one like yours!! Thank you again. LD

If you simply need a very clean, comfortable and friendly managed hotel then the Queeensbury will tick these boxes. It is situated in a quite square adjacent to the beach, the rooms are adequate in respect of space and the beds are comfortable and the entire hotel is clean. The staff are efficient and effective and are courteous at all times. For a one or two night stay on business I would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel.

I stayed at the Queensbury for one night during the May bank holiday with my partner and our dog. They staff were massivley helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is nicley decorated and very clean. We stayed in the cheapest basic room which had everything we needed in it and although the decor wasnt stylish it was great for the money and very clean. We will stay again soon and will likley splash out on a more expensive room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I recently stayed for just one night at the Queensbury Hotel and was delighted with the quality of the hotel. I chose it simply because it was the cheapest one available! I was not expecting much from a £29 room but the whole hotel was immaculately presented, and very well furbished. The room was decorated with tasteful, traditional furniture and was very clean. Also the shared bathroom and toilet were very clean. I was really pleasantly surprised with such quality for such a cheap price! I will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to my family and friends.
