Daily Rainfall for July 2001

Rhode Hill Gardens, Uplyme, Devon

Already by the 17th, this July is the wettest since my records began in 1994.
Is this the beginning of the winter "wet season"?
Last year the rains began in August. Are we repeating last year's pattern but one month earlier?
