This year to date has shown how unpredictable the weather can be under the influence of global warming and climate change. In fact the only predictable aspect of the weather in the last few years has been how consistently wet the Octobers have been. Will we see a continuation of this trend in October 2007? The two wet days towards end of this otherwise dry September seems to be moving us into a wetter period. Even with this wet ending the September rainfall was only 56.6% of the average for the month for the seven years 2000/6. September has been on average the second driest month of the year for the years 2000/6, and to date this September has been the second driest month of the year.
