Front Upright Supporting Strut
These sat on the front wall of the greenhouse.Top left is the front window hinge. Top right can be seen the tensioning rod that rans up below the rafter to the apex bracket. Rafters were at 128cm centres and alternate rafters had either this fitting or an eaves bracket acting as a rafter tensioning bar anchor.The hole in the lower part of the strut acted as a bearing for the window operating bar, whilst above that is a slot that together with the Iron Strap Locating Bracket locate an iron strap that runs along the greenhouse.
