This is the home page of Rhode Hill Gardens, formerly known in its heyday as Rhode Hill Fruit Farm. The gardens are situated within Uplyme, one of England's largest parishes, on the Devon/Dorset border approximately a mile and a quarter north of the West Dorset coastal town of Lyme Regis.
At the turn of the last century the gardens with their extensive greenhouses were run on a commercial basis supplying their own greengrocer shop in Lyme Regis (still there now as Cauly and Flowers), adjacent areas of south west England as well as London, with fruit, flowers and vegetables including peaches, pineapples, and grapes.
