Tetra Mast on Golf Course

On the left is the Tetra mast as temporarily installed on the golf course. The lower section of the mast is well screened from Lyme as are the cabins housing the ancillary equipment. This will not be the case if the mast is moved to the golf club practice area. It will be impossible to screen any part of the installation on the sloping and exposed practice area.

The current planning permission expires at the end of May 2004. The Lyme Regis town council recommended refusal of this planning application saying, it was "outside the defined development boundary in an area of outstanding natural beauty and would be detrimental to the amenity of neighouring properties".

The council will almost certainly recommend approval of the application to move it to the practice area. Being on the field next to Strawberry Field and bearing in mind their long history of double standards, how could they do otherwise wanting to develop Strawberry Field themselves ?
