Welcome to my Photography Page

My photography is largely Macro based - there is nothing quite like the effect of photographing an object in close-up. I now use a Canon digital SLR camera equipped with a superb Sigma 105mm macro and a 17-85mm zoom lens.

I would encourage anyone who needs to gain more skill in this wonderful art-form to join their local camera club (my own is a friendly and encouraging one in Mansfield). Do submit work into the competitions and a good judge will help you improve your photography - composition and lighting are probably the key factors in what makes a good photograph. Much can be learnt from the skill of other members.

Apart from "The Bonsai House" all other images are scanned transparencies.

Canada 2008

I have added some photographs of my trip to Canada.

This is a CSS version. Eventually I hope to modify all the web content to CSS styling.
