Based in Aylesbury (40 miles from the West End and Central London), Buckinghamshire, the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, which is
close to the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, patients with
spinal injuries, head injuries, strokes and other neurological, orthopaedic, post operative conditions, sports and muscle injuries,
and other disabilities, are provided with
comprehensive rehabilitation programmes geared to provide rehabilitation for
maximum independence. Intensive nursing care and
rehabilitation therapies are implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of
dedicated professionals including specialist doctors and consultants, nurses,
physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. Their goal is
to ensure that patients achieve their full potential for independence, and can
return to as normal a life as possible.
