Other work to be undertaken in the future could include the localisation of the other types of stone that appear at the site though this would prove difficult due to the wide nature of the other lithologies involved.
This work may give insight to the type of transportation used to move the stones from their provenance as an over ground method would have have had to have been used due to lack of large rivers in the area. A lottery grant has recently been give to a group trying to recreate the transportation of the stones at Stonehenge from their source area in Southern Wales to the site in Wiltshire.
As mentioned the rims of certain clasts were found to be of much interest
and could certainly be looked at in closer detail if a sample could be
taken. Other experimental work could be carried out including thin section
analysis on these rims.
