Counterweight Continent, The (country)
Also known as the Aurient, trans: "Where the gold comes from." This is due to a large portion of the small continent's mass being gold. A large portion is also Octiron (a metal that radiates magic) deposits.

It is surrounded by a huge wall, it's purpose is that of all walls. To keep invaders out, and the civilians in. The previous rulers encouraged the belief that beyond the wall there was nothing beyond a haunted wasteland. It's current ruler is Cohen the Barbarian, and his Horde. The culture itself is ancient, complex and in danger due to it's current ruler. The old feudal system has been disbanded and it is unclear what replaced this.

The Disc's first tourist, Twoflower, hailed from the Counterweight Continent. Upon his return, his essay 'What I did on my Holidays' caused a revolt. The events surrounding this are chronicled in Interesting Times.

Djelibeybi (country)
Djelibeybi is a small kngdom sited in the Djel, a thin strip of land lying between Tsort and Ephebe. The country is famous for the magnificent pyramid burial tombs of its past kings and rulers. Unfortunately, Djelibeybi is also near-permanently bankrupt because most of the country's wealth is put into producing the next generation's pyramids. Djelibeybi's kings are advised by the High Priest Dios, who appears to be present throughout all of the kingdom's history. Leading quantum historians have attributed this curious detail to a temporal space loop.

Lancre (country)
Lancre is a small city in the high Rimward Ramtops. The current King, King Verence II, was formerly the court fool. Amongst other things Lancre is home to Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. Major Towns include Lancre Town and Slice, location of the universally famous 'place where the sun does not shine.'

XXXX (country)
The last continent to be created on the Discworld, XXXX is known for being dry, hot, and having good cold beer. An unfortunate temporal accident involving a yoyo resulted in the continent being entirely devoid of rain for many aeons. Tourists may find the town of Dijabringabeeralong to be worth visiting.
