September 2008 - Shiplake youngsters shine at under 25 event
36 young bowlers including Shiplake's Katie Bland, Jody Buckett and Dan Lewis participated Watlington's Under 25s day on September.

August 2008 - Shiplake four win County Championship and represent Oxford at National Finals in Worthing
Ryan Buckett, Barry Lambourne, Jim Bland and Dave Hall had an excellent run in the County Fours. In the semi-final they beat a team from Banbury Borough. Trailing by 8 shots at the half-way point they rallied to win by four shots, 23-19. In the final they came up against a team from Carterton. Shiplake were never ahead until the last end, when they held on to 3 shots to win by one shot. And so to Worthing ....
On the Monday they had a tremendous 37-6 win over Essex, followed by a 24-17 win against Warwickshire to set up a Tuesday morning match with Cumbria for a place in the Quarter Finals. This was the final match for the Shiplake team, they lost to Cumbria by 29 shots to 12.

Shiplake ladies reach semi-final of the National Over 55s Pairs competition at Leamington
Sylvia Blackmore and Val Beaumont represented Oxfordshire in the Over 55s Pairs at the English Women’s National Championships at Leamington. Their first game was on Friday August 10th, where they beat two ladies from Hertfordshire. On Saturday morning they won again, beating Hampshire, which qualified them for the quarter-finals in the afternoon. Here they met and vanquished Middlesex. The semi-final was on Sunday morning against Nottinghamshire and here our ladies bowed out of the competition. See Photos
Shiplake men champions of ODBL Div 2
On 9 August Shiplake beat top of the table Banbury Chestnuts 5-1. This puts them top of the table in an unassailable position.

Shiplake members achieve high profile in Oxfordshire
Margaret Bullock has been selected to play for the Johns Trophy and the Walker Cup (Double Rink).
Barry Lambourne and Ryan Buckett are part of the Middleton Cup squad.

Victory for Shiplake ladies against Oxford City and County in the first round of the Top Club competition. Shiplake had never before beaten City and County in this competition.
April 2007
The green opened on 16 April. Club members are looking forward to a busy season. The immaculate condition of the green, the surrounds and the clubhouse is a tribute to the hard work done over the winter by many club members.
March 2007
Shiplake looks forward to the new season.
Club member Mairwen West is OWBA President for 2007, a great honour for the club.
Following their promotion Shiplake men will be competing in Division 2 of the ODBL.
The club hopes to repeat last year's successes when they won both the Manchester Unity League and the Plomer Cup.
