The singles pairs and triples (and parent)s all turned up at craigy at 7.45am on Saturday for the bus to Grangemouth. What an ungodly time in the morning.
We arrived in good time even though we left the singles player from the west of Edinburgh waiting at Bainfield. We were picking up the West of Edinburgh players at Sighthill only nobody informed the Edinburgh west singles player there had been a change of pick up point. Just as well his parents had transport and got him there in time.
Our singles player Jamie got of to a poor start being beat 21-10 in his first game he then went on to win his 2nd 3rd 4th and peeled in his 5th game
The pairs faired better winning there first game followed by there 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th game to take them into the semi finals our pairs were josh Spalding age 11 and Daniel Gormley age 14.
The triples were under the cosh being beaten in there first game they peeled in there 2nd game with the skip Kerr McKail left fuming as there opponents were blatantly playing for time 1 more end would have clinched it for us said Kerr.. They lost there 3rd won there 4th but were beaten in there 5th game
The pairs went from Zenica to Grangemouth for the semi they played very well 7-2up but the opposition found the pace and got a few wickies to win the game.
Josh was totally gutted. But at only 11 he has 5 years left to play in this competition he will be back
Quote from Margaret Junior convener I am so proud of all the players who gave there all on Saturday at Grangemouth we are very lucky at Craigy to have such good up and coming players well done to everyone and thanks to the parents we had 14 spectators with us thanks to all for the support.
Also thanks to Stuart McFarlane Vice President for coming through to Grangemouth to support the juniors it was much appreciated

2005 News
There is a triple from craigentinny going through to the Scottish Finals at Paisley this year. They are Andrew Dove, Grant Abercrombie, and Kerr McKail. They won the district at Willowbrae after being narrowly beaten in the final by a shot, but when they came of the green, the opposition (Queensberry) where found to be playing wth two over age players, so Craigy went through to the final.
Unfortunately, our pair of Jamie Reid and big Tam Brown where beaten in the final by a shot by London Road Foundry.
Scott Abercrombie got beat in the qualifing stages of the singles, but played really well.
