XnTRICK Recumbents:

2x4 Lowracer:
This bike was built to plans published by James Robinson, with a few changes. Why is it called a 2x4 Lowracer - well what do you think it's made off? Yep, 2" by 4" timber! There is some ply for the seat and strengthening bits. of course the wheels, forks, cranks and chain are metal - otherwise they 'wooden' work..............

M5 Citymate M5 Citymate:

We have bought a CLWB for day rides and possibly commuting.

Golden Chariot:
The gold coloured long wheel base recumbent was used as the 'golden chariot' in a production of 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'. For this we added a canopy just to make it more unusual. In his triumphant return, Joseph rode it in from the back of the theatre, and up a ramp onto the stage.

It is seen here taking part in a sponsored ride a few weeks after the play.

On Leicster velodrome Nightmare:
This SWB bike was used in BHPC races in the mid 90's. 2 days after a rebuild it laped London's Herne Hill velodrome 'no hands'.
The bike was 'cobbled' together from scrap to test out several ideas about bike geometry. The name "Nightmare" came from the fact that the bike was origninally built in the winter and most of the testing was done after dark.

Front wheel drive:

This front wheel drive, mid-steering bike was built to try some ideas out. The geometry was very wrong - it fell over if you turned a corner!

Homebuilt SWB SWB:

The frame of this short wheel-base (SWB) recumbent bike was built about 5 years ago with under-seat steering (USS), but the handling was not very good. The above-seat steering (no abreviation) has improved matters. The first time it was riden was a 13 mile trip to the local cycle rally (with loaded paniers). It had previously only been riden once round a carpark to set up the gears!.

Dragonfly:
This trike was bought as an unfinished project and we found more faults than we first noticed. It is prsently undergoing major changes.
