Tour - Record KeepingRecord keeping has several main facets designed to allow you keep your records of where and when you have rung at the tower. You can also use the powerful graphical filtering, and mapping facilities to create complex queries to help you, for example, to plan outings to mop up towers in an area. Tower Database The tower database is the fundamental component of the record keeping module. It is a built in database of all the ringable towers in the world. It is based on the Central Council list of towers. There are a lot of intuitive features, including the ability to generate and reuse a set of filters, select what columns are visible, and in what order. At the bottom of the screen you will see two information screens. One is the home tower, and one is the selected tower. Each of these show all the details about the tower, and all the times that you have grabbed the tower. You can hold records for multiple users, and rapidly switch between them. Unlike any other product, you are allowed to modify, add and remove the standard towers.
Grab Records The grab window is similar to the tower window, but obviously deals with grabs.
Filtering All of the record keeping uses a powerful filtering system. You will see from this screen shot that you simply select the criteria you want to filter and sort by, and set up the specific conditions on the blue links. You will see that the end result is an english description of the filter. You can save hundreds of these filters for reuse. There is also a quick ad-hock filtering system.
Maps To be able to see the exact position of the tower, Ringing Master will display real maps, downloaded from the internet. Overlaid on this are the pushpins of the towers. These are different colors for grabbed and non grabbed towers.
