Tour - Simulator

The simulator system is a teaching aid, and can be used for teaching yourself at home, or teaching students in the tower. It has a range of functions that it can teach, including listening skills, method practice skills, calling skills and recognition skills. It has facilities to taking inputs from the Keyboard, external sensors, and even speaking to the system using a microphone headset. It gives you a lot of feedback and analysis options, including the ability to analyze how good the striking of each each ringer is, and the ability to replay a piece of ringing after the event to allow the student to hear the ringing without the stress of having to ring a bell.

Main Window

This shot shows the main interface window. There are many components that can be shown / hidden as your use dictates.

  • The main window shows the animation of all the bells hand and back stroke. When you are controlling the input, the graphic will change at the moment you trigger the input. The graphic can be supplied by the user, or you can choose from the internal library.
  • One of the new innovative systems is the single bell window (bottom left). You can set this to monitor the bell (or bells) you are ringing. It will give you a clear visual indication of how out of position you are. You will you see the actual position verses the 'perfect' position. The windows is also colored Blue for late and Green for early, with the color getting darker as you get further out. An ideal tool for teaching striking.
  • The striking window shows the same information, but for all bells.
  • All the calls / changes of methods / instructions (Go, Stand Etc) are spoken by the computer.

Speech Control

The Ringing Master simulator is completely controllable via a microphone and speech recognition. This facility allows you to practice calling a touch at home with no one watching!

Connectivity of External Sensors

One of the main uses for a simulator system is the ability to connect external sensors. Ringing Master is directly pin compatible with older systems (e.g. Abel). You will be able to just install this software to your existing system and start using it.
